Terri Closs is founder and owner of As You Wish Organizing, LLC. a company that focuses on meeting the organizing needs of Baby Boomers and Senior Citizens. Terri formerly worked with Seniors in two other capacities: for 9.5 years as the Senior Assist Coordinator at Macomb Family Services where she helped indigent seniors find low or no cost services in Macomb County, and 4 years as a Caregiver Supervisor for Home Helpers and Direct Link in Washington. In 2014 she left the senior care industry to develop and open her own business designed around an older person’s specific needs and desires.
Terri specializes in in-home organization with an intentional focus geared toward seniors. These services include Home Organization, Downsizing, Estate Closure, Home Safety Assessments, and the Organization of Key Life Documents. She is a speaker on issues around home organization, paper management, and communicating with deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Terri is currently an active member of NAPO – National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals where she holds two Specialist Certificates in Residential Organizing and Workplace Productivity and is working towards a third certificate in Life Transitions. She is also a member of ICD – the Institute for Challenging Disorganization where she holds a Level I Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization and a Level I Certificate in Understanding the Needs of Aging Chronically Disorganized Client. And lastly, Terri is a certified Relocation & Transition Specialist through the National Certification Board Alzheimer Care.
In her off time, Terri tutors American Sign Language students at Macomb Community College – a gig she has held for 25 years. Married for 41 years, Terri and her husband Dan currently reside in Armada Township.
